2022 Marine Protection Contest🌊

🐳Prompt：

The ocean is the cradle of life, and there are thousands of marine organisms living in the sea. They are not only a crucial part of maintaining the earth’s ecosystem but also provide a large amount of food for people. Our life probably originated in the ocean. The ocean absorbs heat, which is then dispersed globally by currents to help manage our climate. Phytoplankton in the oceans absorb carbon dioxide and produce at least 50% of the Earth’s oxygen. The ocean’s contributions to the world are significant, and we can’t live without oceans. 

However, the oceans are now becoming increasingly vulnerable. Global warming, ocean acidification, garbage discharge, wastewater discharge, and other human activities have made the ocean environment weaker and weaker. The oceans cover about 70% of the earth’s surface area. However, studies have shown that only 13.2% of the world’s oceans remain “wild” and untouched by human activities.

Therefore, it is critical to protect the ocean. 

Choose a way you like to call on everyone to protect the ocean!!!

There’s no entry requirement! Everyone who has ideas can participate in this competition!

Visual Art & Calligraphy Submission Requirements:

• You may submit up to 3 images (different angles or details) of your submission.
• Make sure your files can easily be viewed.
• Reflection: All submissions must include a written reflection maximum200 words. The reflection must include these two questions:  Q1: What inspired your work？Q2: What message do you want to convey to your viewers？（submit it to both email and website）
• Submit your files to zishi_kou@126.com（Accepted file types: JPG, or PDF.）
• Submit your essay to the website http://www.ourthemeee.com(Chose the category 2022 Competition)

Creative Writing & Poetry Submission Requirements:

• Submission length: Maximum of 1500 words
• Works Cited:Use in-text citations (parenthetical or footnotes, in any style) and include a bibliography for any ideas, facts, and quotes that are not your own. Works cited are not included in submission length.
• Submit your essay to zishi_kou@126.com(Accepted file types: Word documents or PDF)
• No standard font required

Music Submission Requirements:
