The United States of America is a federal constitutional republiccomposed of Washington, D.C., fifty states, Guam, and many other overseasterritories. Its main part is in the central part of North America. Theoriginal version of the CIA’s world profile from 1989 to 1996. The UnitedStates has a total area of 9.373 million square kilometers and a population of 333 million. English is commonly used. It is an immigrant country.

About the economics，the United States has an advanced modern market economy, and its GDPranks first in the world.

The cultural industry in the United States is very developed, withan output value accounting for about 20% of GDP, and its overallcompetitiveness ranks first in the world.

The tourism industry is an important part of the American economy.In 2011, the output value of the U.S. tourism industry reached $1.2 trillion,supporting 7.6 million jobs, of which the consumption of international touristsin tourism and related industries reached a record $153 billion.

The U.S.Department of Commerce predicts that the number of U.S. international touristswill increase by an average of 6.55 million in 2012. In January 2012, U.S.President Barack Obama signed an executive order to promote the development of tourismand ordered the Secretary of Commerce and the Secretary of the interior to leadthe establishment of a working group to formulate a strategic plan forpromoting tourism. The State Department announced that it would simplify thevisa procedures for some visa applicants to the United States and provideface-to-face visa-free treatment for qualified first-time applicants.

The main export commodities of the United States are chemicalproducts, machinery, automobiles, aircraft, electronic information equipment,weapons, food, drugs, beverages, etc. The main imported commodities are food,clothing, electronic equipment, machinery, steel, textiles, oil, naturalrubber, tin, chromium, and other metals.
